On the last day of September, the Vârghiș project ended. The project was sponsored by the Environmental Partnership Foundation and by the MOL Romania. The goal of the project was to promote the values of the Vârghiș Protected Area. The Green Szeklerland Association planned and implemented several significant activities in this small project:
- Workbooks for the kindergartens, it’s more than 300 pages of workbooks are available, which can be downloaded free of charge from hangyasuli.ro. For more information click here.
- Cartoon books: also designed for the younger generation. For more information. For more information click here.
- Contest for 1-4 grades students: there was also a drawing competition, 82 children participated in the competition.
- Contest for 5-8 grades students: For the older students, a three-round competition was organized.
- Crossword Creator Application: perhaps the hardest part of the program was to create a crossword puzzle application. For more information click here.
- Memory card: we have two type of memory card that shows the natural values of the protected area.
- Posters of animal species: we have produced more than 100 posters series of animal species, it that can be downloaded from the program website. For more information click here.
