On September 30, on Friday at 3 pm, the goal of the event is to promote the safe cycling among the students and thanks to this little practice trails, they can know better the basic cycling information. Over the past few years, the Green Szeklerland Association has organized a number of cycling-related programs and activities to contribute the choice of cycling as a transport.


The fact that the bicycle route network is growing brings more and more problems. This means that several currently used solutions need to be reconsidered. However beside the correspondent infrastructures it is very important that the persons in the traffic to have a minimum safe traffic knowledge. The Green Szeklerland Association within the Velo Academy Project organized in five school, in Miercurea Ciuc theoretical and practical cycling trainers, where 74 students participated.
On this Friday the program start at 3 pm and each candidate receives a worksheet. They have to try every game from the worksheet and then those who have completed all the tasks at the end of the program they get t-shirts and other gifts.

The Velo Academy project in Târgu Mureş, Odorheiu Secuiesc and Ciuc is co-financed by the Swiss Confederation from the Swiss Contribution enlarged to the European Union.
The support amount is CHF 56,086.75 from the total budget of CHF 62,318.75.
The Community Foundation of Mureș together with other several civil associations organizes Critical Mass bicycle parades since 2012. Within the MuresOnBike program, they promote the urban cycling, the goal is to create a safe cycling infrastructure and a sustainable urban transport in the city.
The Community Foundation of Odorheiu Secuiesc’s initiative, the Living Odorhei Environmental Group has been established for more than two years to make a safe bicycle traffic in the city. The two members of the group took part at The Bicycle Academy training and now they are teaching the traffic regulations for the locals.
For many years the Green Szeklerland Association has organized the Earth Day bicycle parade in Miercurea Ciuc. They took part in the painting of bicycle path markings, and put out 42 bicycle holder in Miercurea Ciuc with the help of the Community Card program, and also supported the construction of a bicycle storage facility. Also supported the construction of a bicycle storage. Within the Ant School program they organized bicycle education activities in the schools of Ciuc.
