In this activity, held in the central park of Miercurea Ciuc, children are divided into small groups and each group receives a map showing the trees found in the park. The map highlights 10–15 selected tree species.
The first challenge is to use their orientation and navigation skills to locate the marked trees within the park. Once they have found them, the participants use the provided picture cards – showing the leaves, fruits, and bark of different tree species – to identify the trees standing before them.
