2016.10.14. – The students during the summer had to solve a quiz with puzzles and they had to send the results to the association. The Ant School was sponsored by MOL Romania and Environmental Partnership Foundation under the Green Belt Program: The goal of the Vârghiş Canyon is to promote the values of the protected area among the students in the region. In our opinion is that they has been achieved, because nearly 1000 people have been registered in the competition.
In mid-September, a popular environmental competition was organized by the Green Szeklerland Association and the Lost World Nature Conservation and by the Caving Association. For the answers you could get 500 points and more 50 points for those who visited the Vârghiş Canyon during their vacation and sent a photograph of this.
The Green Szeklerland Association rewards the two best-performing students of the two categories (classes 5-8 and 9-12) with a tour package (tent, headlamp) and from the best 26 students receives an environmental education gifts packages, as well as the teachers. We’ve revised the exercise book to A4 format to use the task easier during the school lessons. Furthermore a solution presenting detailed material is also done to the participating students to have the opportunity to see the correct answers. Other study materials have also been prepared (Caves in general, Winter Dream, Caves for Caving) which you can download with 1.020 digital content free of charge from the association’s website.
